What’s happening?
Galetta Community Association General Meeting
January 25, at 7:00 pm
We invite you to attend our General Meeting and share new ideas and suggestions to ensure we have a successful 2010. This evening great way to meet your neighbor and build new friendships!
Six Hand Euchre 7:30pm at the Hall
February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
We are hosting our second series of Six Hand Euchre and look forward to seeing new faces out to enjoy the game. Are you a beginner and want to learn the game? Come and see what the talk of the village is about!! Beware ….there’s lots of laughs and heavy table hitting!! The cost is only $4.00 and this includes refreshments! Prizes will be presented February 25th to the top players. You won’t want to miss this!
Galetta Fun Day February 14, 2009, 11am-3 pm
Join us for our Annual Winter Fun Day at the outdoor rink! Fun games, prizes, skating, and new this year….. A Chili Cook Off. If you are interested in donating a pot of chili for people to enjoy please contact any of the Executive. Make sure you wear RED to celebrate Valentine’s Day!! This is a fun family event for all ages! If you’re not a skater come ahead out, there’s lots of excitement for everyone!!
Outdoor Rink Public Skating & Shinny Schedule
The ice quality is fabulous, thanks to Jeff Egan our rink maintenance man! Many skaters and hockey players have been out enjoying a pleasant skate or game of shinny. Don’t forget your pocket change…we have a new snack bar with a variety of snacks, pop, and juices to enjoy!
The rink is monitored by Robert Leclair and please be advised of the following skating schedule:
Monday-Friday: 6pm-8pm Public Skating, 8pm-10pm Shinny
Saturday-Sunday: 12pm-3pm Public Skating, 3pm-6pm Shinny
6pm-8pm Public Skating,
8pm-10pm Shinny
We do ask that you respect the rules and regulations we have in place!

Fall Rummage, Flea Market, & Bake
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped organize the large selection of donations for our Rummage Sale held in October. We appreciate the support of everyone who donated items and came out to purchase a special treasure at our sale. This is by far our most successful fundraiser and it would not be possible with out you!!
The Executive have had much discussion whether to continue having this event as more volunteers are required. If this event is something you want to see continue in your community we need to hear from you! Give the Executive a call or contact the Secretary
