Galetta Lawn Bowling Club 2009 Season

 
Galetta Lawn Bowling runs from the end of May until mid-September. Bowling is available every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 6:15pm until about 8:00 p.m. Please be there by 6:15 pm so teams can be made up for that evening. There is a social evening on Tuesday after bowling where coffee, tea and snacks are provided. 

There will be an Open House for anyone interested in trying out Lawn Bowling on June 2, 9 and 23 at 6:30 pm.


We will be hosting the following tournaments and events. Start times are 10:00 am:

  • Mon, June 15  -  MacHardy Cup  - Mixed Pairs
  • Mon,  July 6 -  Russell Cup  - Open Triples
  • Wed, Aug 19 - Sadler Cup - Mixed pairs   start time 10 a.m.
  • Sat & Sun,  July 11 - July 12  - District 16 Ladies & Men's District Singles Playdowns
  • Sat, Oct. 3  District 16 Fall General Meeting

We have an opening banquet on May 22nd. Weather permitting there will be bowling in the afternoon, followed by a Pot Luck dinner and annual Spring meeting at 5:00 p.m. in the Galetta Community Centre.  Previous bowlers and new bowlers are welcome.  Just bring either a salad, main course or dessert.  Coffee/tea/punch is provided.  You will be able to sign up for the season at this function.
